About KiraLocum
Does KiraLocum file my taxes for LHDN?add
No. KiraLocum estimates what to set aside for the year of assessment, using published LHDN rate
tables and relief caps. It's not tax advice, not a filing, and not a substitute for a licensed tax
agent. Always verify before relying on any figure.
Is my data private?add
Yes. Your sessions, earnings, clinics, expenses and tax details are stored on your own phone, not on
our servers. We only hold what's needed to sign you in. Voucher and receipt photos never leave your
device at all. If you choose KiraLocum Cloud (Plus), your records sync to our servers in Singapore,
encrypted in transit and readable only by your own account, and you can delete that copy any time.
There are no ads and no tracking, we never sell your data, and we handle it in line with Malaysia's
Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Details are in our Privacy Policy.
What if I lose or change my phone?add
In Settings, under Backup, tap Back up to save your records to your own
iCloud Drive (iPhone) or Google Drive (Android). It also backs up by itself about once a week when you
open the app. On the new phone, sign in and tap Restore from backup. With KiraLocum
Cloud (Plus), just sign in on the new phone, including if you're moving between iPhone and Android.
Who is KiraLocum built for?add
Malaysian locum doctors and dentists tracking their own earnings. Not a practice, not a marketplace.
No client logins, no team seats.
What happens to my data if I cancel Plus?add
Nothing is deleted. Your account drops back to the Free tier's limits (4 clinics, 2 payment
accounts, current year's earnings history). Everything you've already logged stays exactly where
it is.
Is there an Android version?add
It's on the way. KiraLocum is on iPhone today and coming soon to Google Play. Email us and we'll let you know when it lands.
Using KiraLocum
How do I add a clinic?add
Open the Clinics tab and tap +. Only the name is needed. You can also add the address, a contact number (and whether they use WhatsApp or Telegram), how many days they usually take to pay you, and notes. The free plan holds up to 4 clinics; Plus has no limit.
How do I add a rate card?add
Open the clinic in the Clinics tab and tap Add rate card. Give it a name, choose Hourly Rate or Flat Rate, and enter the amount. Turn on Use as default for this clinic and new sessions there pick it up automatically. Logging the first session at a clinic with no rate yet? You can set the rate right there, and it's saved to the clinic.
How do I add incentives, like pay per patient?add
In a rate card, fill in Additional incentive with a label (for example "Per Patient") and the amount for each one. Tap Add more incentive for another. Then, on each session, enter the count, and the incentive is added to that session's pay. You can also tap Add incentive beside the rate card inside a session.
How do I log a session?add
Tap + in the bottom bar and choose Locum. Pick the clinic, the start and end times, any break, and the account you get paid into. The amount is worked out from the clinic's rate card. Working the same slot next month? Open the session and duplicate it for next month.
How do I mark a session done or paid?add
Open the session. Tap Mark as done once you've worked it, and Mark paid when the money comes in. Sessions still unpaid after the clinic's usual payment days are flagged as overdue, so you know who to chase.
Can I change what a session paid?add
Yes. Open the session and tap the pencil beside the amount to enter what you were actually paid. Use calculated puts it back to the rate card's figure. Changing a rate card updates every session on it that isn't paid yet; paid sessions keep their amount.
How do I attach a voucher or receipt photo?add
Open the session and, under Vouchers, take a photo or choose one from your photos. It's kept on your phone, never uploaded to our servers, and stays with the session. LHDN expects records to be kept for seven years.
How do I set a monthly goal?add
On Home, tap This month's goal on the summary card and enter the amount you're aiming for. Home and the Monthly progress widget then show how close you are.
How do I add the widgets?add
On iPhone, touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for KiraLocum. On Android, touch and hold the home screen, tap Widgets, and find KiraLocum. There are three: What's next (your next session), Today (today's sessions and events) and Monthly progress (how close you are to your goal).
What's the countdown on my iPhone's Lock Screen?add
That's KiraLocum's Live Activity. From a few hours before a session, it counts down to the start on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, then to the end once you're working. It appears after you open the app. You can turn it off in Settings, under Notifications.
Can KiraLocum read sessions from my calendar?add
Yes. In Settings, turn on Calendar sync and set your keywords ("locum" to start with). Events whose title or location contains a keyword come in as sessions; tap Sync now to bring them in. Your sessions are also written to a KiraLocum calendar of their own. Your other calendars are never edited.
Can't make a session? How do I find cover?add
Open the upcoming session and tap the share button beside the amount. KiraLocum makes a neat "Locum available" image with the clinic, date and time, and, if you choose, the rate and the clinic's contact, ready to send to your group chats.
